"Stone Cold Determination" And "Fortitude" New Gallery Paintings By Contemporary Artist Jennifer Godshalk. Abstract Horse Paintings Included In The Neutral Zone Series Headed To Telluride, Colorado!

Stone Cold Determination

24 x 36 Inches

Charcoal And Acrylic On Canvas

Fortitude

24 x 36 Inches

Charcoal And Acrylic On Canvas

These two paintings were painted at the same time.  I enjoyed the beautiful loose sketching and crazy add ons of acrylic splashes.  These two paintings are amazing in person and as one observant art lover told me, "They look like stone!"

These paintings are both part of my "Neutral Zone" series and are headed to Telluride, Colorado for the film festival Labor Day weekend.

ENJOY!

A Contemporary Horse Painting By Artist Jennifer Godshalk. SOLD Commissioned Artwork.

Grey Runner "Fin"

48 x 36 Inches

Oil On Canvas

SOLD Commissioned Painting

This collector decided to change the horse from black to grey, which I believe was a wise decision.  I always give the collector the honor of titling the painting, and their choice for this painting was "Fin".

I am loving these black and white paintings from my "Neutral Zone" series.  Such intensity and motion with a contemporary flair.  Excited to produce more works of this nature.

Spring in the Mountains, Mustang Mare and Foal. Oil by Deborah Flood

Spring in the Mountains 20 x 21 Oil Large Web view

New Mustang Painting, fresh off the easel!
"Spring in the Mountains"
20 x 21 Inches.
Oil on hand stretched Linen Canvas.  (yes, I put together the stretcher bars, and cut the canvas, and stretched it to the bars. Very hands on work of art!)

Since the passing of my artist grandmother, I have her supplies and materials. So I’ve been stretching the rolled Linen canvas onto stretcher bars.

I have found that I enjoy stretching my own, and building the size I want, and not relying on a store or manufacturer to decide for me. It’s rather freeing, and feels a lot more like a hands on experience and piece of art!

I worked up this painting, from a reference photo I took on my trips out to New Mexico.

Purchase inquiries welcome. And the piece is listed on my website in the Oil Painting Portfolio.
Enjoy,
Deborah Flood

Charcoal On Canvas Horse Sketch By Equine Artist Jennifer Morrison Godshalk

Harmony
Charcoal On Canvas
Horse Sketch

Another sketch!  I am truly enjoying these sketches as it is helping me to grow as I step back into the raw, basic format of drawing.  These sketches are amazing in person, and a black frame would add the perfect contemporary flair to any home.

A Charcoal Contemporary Horse Sketch By Equine Artist Jennifer Morrison Godshalk, "Valiant".

Valiant
A Charcoal Horse Sketch On Canvas
By Jennifer Morrison Godshalk

It's back to the basics, and sketching away.  I enjoy capturing the details of sketches that usually are covered up by oil paints.  Here is the first stage, or the "Raw" format with which I start.  I want to show the underlying elements to my artwork.  I love this sketch and I am not sure whether to add any color or perhaps leave it as is?  Hmmm..  Taking votes now on my Facebook page!  Click on the link to participate.

                                https://www.facebook.com/horsepaintings?ref=hl

The Valiant name came easily to me, as this horse appeared to be a warrior.  Noble eyes, strong neck and jawline, yet a gentle horse in nature.  He is Valiant!

Prints are available and so is the original.

Enjoy!
